2. Definitions
- User: anyone with an account.
- Game master (GM): the User who creates a campaign and a world.
- Player: a User invited to a campaign by a GM.
- World: the NPCs, places, quests and documents created by a GM.
- Content: texts, images, files and messages published by Users.
3. Access and account
The Service is free of charge as of these Terms. An internet connection is required, at your own cost.
Signing up requires a username, a valid e-mail address and a password. You must be at least 15 years old; below that age, the consent of a holder of parental authority is required.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the actions taken from your account. Let us know immediately of any unauthorised use.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the Content you publish. For as long as it stays on the Service, you allow us to host, reproduce and display it to the people you choose (for instance the players of a campaign), to the extent needed to run the Service.
You warrant that you hold the rights to the Content you publish, images in particular, and you will not publish unlawful, defamatory, hateful or violent content, sexual content involving minors, or content infringing privacy or the rights of others (copyright, image rights, trademarks).
Clearly unlawful Content can be reported through the contact form, stating where it is and why. We may remove reported or unlawful Content and, for serious or repeated breaches, suspend the account concerned.
5. AI assistant
The AI assistant is optional. It runs on your own account with an AI provider (for instance OpenAI): you save your API key, stored encrypted. The requests, their cost and the provider’s terms fall under your agreement with that provider.
When you use the assistant, the context it needs (texts of your world, instructions) is sent to the provider. Generated content may be inaccurate: you are responsible for checking and publishing it.
6. Code of conduct
The Service is a shared play space: respect other Users, including in private messages. Harassment, impersonation, unsolicited content, harvesting other Users’ data and any attempt to harm the security or operation of the Service are forbidden.
7. Availability
We do our best to keep the Service available, without any guarantee of uninterrupted access. It may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or incidents. We recommend keeping a copy of your important Content.
8. Liability
Each User is responsible for the Content they publish and how they use the Service. For Users’ Content, we act as a hosting provider and have no general obligation to monitor it.
We are not liable for indirect damage, data loss caused by force majeure, or third-party services (AI providers in particular). Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, its name, logo, interface and code are protected. Any reproduction or reuse without permission is forbidden, except for Users’ Content, which belongs to them.
10. Suspension and account deletion
You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time through the contact form (topic “Account”). Your personal data and Content are then deleted as described in the privacy policy. Worlds and campaigns you run as GM are deleted with your account.
If these Terms are breached, we may suspend or delete an account, after a warning except in urgent or serious cases.
11. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. You will be informed of any significant change before it applies; using the Service afterwards means you accept it. Otherwise, you can delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, please contact us first to find an amicable solution. Failing that, French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules protecting consumers (who may go to the court of their place of residence).
